Facilities and nearby attractions

The centre is based at 34 Clifton Road, CB1 7EB, which is a short bus or taxi journey from the city centre and a short walk from Cambridge train station. Parking is either available onsite or in the nearby Cambridge Leisure multi-storey car park.

There is a café onsite. Other nearby activities including bowling and the cinema at Cambridge Leisure and the Cambridge Botanical Gardens.

The easy and safe way to try climbing

Everyone is welcome. From complete beginners to seasoned climbers. You’ll receive a full safety induction and all the equipment you need. Our automatic belay devices take in the slack as you climb and then lower you gently to the ground.

Indoor climbing has never been easier, safer, or more fun.

Check out our website for the latest session timings and availability. These are our most popular climbing sessions for visitors to Cambridge:

Weekend and Holiday climbing sessions

Run all day on Saturdays, Sundays, during Cambridgeshire school holidays and the main school INSET days. Sessions are 90 minutes long consisting of a 30 minute briefing, 55 minutes of climbing and 5 minutes at the end to de-harness. These sessions are open to all climbers, 4 years upwards.

Weekday Term Time Saver climbing sessions

Run in selected sessions based on Cambridgeshire school terms, from 2pm until close Monday to Thursday and before 4.30pm on Fridays. Sessions are 60 minutes long including your briefing. These sessions are open to all climbers, 2 years upwards.

Other climbing sessions

Clip ’n Climb also hosts regular Autism-friendly and SEND sessions, as well as Little Rockers toddler and Adult Climbing sessions. Check out our website for further details of these sessions.
