Propagation Workshop Downing College

Wednesday 28 April 2027, from 10.30am to 12.30pm Wednesday 13 October 2027, from 10.30am to 12.30pm A propagation workshop for gardeners looking to expand their knowledge. Hands on learning about how to propagate your plants from our experienced gardening team and ‘behind the scenes’ access to Downing’s propagation greenhouses. This workshop would make a lovely experience or gift for the amateur or trainee gardener.

With demonstrations from our experienced gardening team members and time for hands on practice and coaching.

Compost blending, propagators and containers
Seed sowing, focusing on annuals, vegetables and wildflowers
Seedling care
Softwood cuttings
Potting on plants
All seeds, cutting and equipment used for propagation will be provided by Downing College. Attendees may take home some of the seeds or cutting material used on the day.

BOOKING ESSENTIAL. Maximum 10 people per workshop.

Please wear sensible footwear and appropriate clothing for gardening.
